Well, I love OS 8.6 too, but I've tried out every operating system Apple has put out,
as soon as it's put it out. Have suffered a lot of ridicule for this avant garde
behavior, and, of course, also suffered through the early glitches from which every
OS suffers. In every case though, I gained enough to make me feel I'd done the right
thing. I've now got OS 9.1 working very stably, and it's rewarded me with much more
speed than OS 9.0.4. If it doesn't start letting me down unexpectedly, then I'll
consider it a serendipity-a largely unheralded blessing. Apple progresses, and I
benefit from that progress.
