Thanks all of you for the input. It's very helpful.
I've used BBEdit for years and it's my workhorse but increasingly I've
needed to depend on a GUI-type web composer. Used GoLive early on and
liked it but it put out such weird code that I just dumped it and didn't
even try using 4.0. It's been gathering dust unopend since it arrived at
the office. Dreamweaver, on the other hand, has been pretty good.
And for the person who recommended FrontPage (you know who you are)
you're lucky I don't send a banana cream pie after you. ;-)
Corina, to answer you question, no 2.0's not free but you could probably
pick up a shrink-wrapped version of it somewhere on the web for cheaper
than 4.0. Try DealNN or DealMac, not in that order.
