Hi, thanks for responding. That may be all well and good, BUT, when I view
the 2300c I'm setting up for Mom, beside my 2300c the difference is very
noticeable.....mine is set to 256 colors and it looks great.

Jim, unfortunately that's how all the duos are. I
think they only have enough ram for 8-bit color at
640x480. If you go to 16-bit (thousands), you only get
640x320 (i believe). That's the nature of the beast,
and I don't think there's a video upgrade for it (I
maybe mistaken).
They've fixed this quirk on the 2400c.
