Hi, thanks for responding. That may be all well and good, BUT, when I view
the 2300c I'm setting up for Mom, beside my 2300c the difference is very
noticeable.....mine is set to 256 colors and it looks great.

Jim,
It sounds like your just not used to 256 colors anymore. The 2300c video
can't produce thousands of colors at full screen, so defaults to the
smaller screen size. I believe its functioning properly.
