I, too, used WN for many years. I finally decided to switch to a more
current, supported product, and chose Nisus Writer. It has a relatively
small footprint (Minimum RAM 1.5 MB, suggested 2.7MB), and actually has a
very impressive feature list, including an equation editor, table editor,
and macro programming language, to name a few. I have found it considerably
more powerful than WN, so I am not sorry that I changed.

The URL is: http://www.nisus.com/

As usual YMMV.
