I was having the same problem. Now my battery seems to be fried as well, or
at least the 2400 isn't recognizing it for some reason. I tried the all the
Power Manager resets everyone suggested.....no dice. Still won't recognize,
charge, or run on battery...and since the power cord also seems to be a
little frayed, if I bump it or move it wrong the computer shuts down.
So, where can I get a new AC adapter and does ANYONE have any 2400 batteries,
or am I out of luck? Is the original adapter still available anywhere?
Does any AC adapter other than the original 2400 adapter work on a 2400?
I've been through 3 in the last 3 1/2 years and the wires seem pretty frail,
especially after daily wrapping them around the brick every time I pack the
computer in my case. Is there anything more robust than the original adapter?
