I have an extra adapter kit for mounting a HD in a 2300. This kit will allow you to mount a HD that has the newer style, farther apart, mounting holes in the 2300. The original HD brackets for the 2300 work with the HDs that have the mounting screw holes about one inch form the end. Most newer drives have the holes almost at the end of the drive (on the four corners) The catch to this kit is the following: (This was not explained to me like a three year old when I bought it, so I didn't quite get it...) This kit will only work with 12.5mm Hard Drives or thinner. It will not work with 17.5mm drives! (The same thickness as the original HD in the 2300.) Anyone who is interested, please let me know. I think that they sel these for about $20-$30, but I figure $15 will cover me. Tom ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net! A listserv for users and fans of Mac subportables.
