Yes, I've used one with my 2300 and sometimes used it with my desktop
Mac. I just got an Airport, so now I don't need the modem at home any
longer because I use the modem in the Airport instead.

I can't help you on that. Before you buy one, maybe you should try
any external modem to make sure that it will work? It would be a
shame to buy a new modem and then find out your modem/printer
port isn't working.

>Any comments, suggestions shared knowledge much appreciated.

I bought mine from MacResQ, it came with an external power supply.
It was an extra part, not in the modem's box, so I'm not sure if that
was something that MacResQ added or whether everyone sells them
with the power supply. You might want to ask, because otherwise
the modem draws its power from the ADB port, which would mean
that you need a mini dock or floppy adapter on that 2300 in order
to have an ADB port and a working modem.

Other than that, the Pegasus modem works fine, and it's really
small so it's easy to carry with you if you travel.
