I have a Nokia 8290 with infrared. Works great with my 2400 (as well as my Palm IIIc). No special software is required, just set the Modem control panel to Infrared port and the script to Nokia Infrared. The modem in an 8290 is a 14.4, so speeds are not astronomical, but not unusable.
