Okay, Here's the story. My 2400c/240/20GB PRAM battery died. No question about it. I could not sleep swap batteries, and when I did, the clock would reset to strange years and times. I ordered a "refurbished" PRAM battery from MacResQ, which came in a box that appeared to have the original seal broken. I spent a good evening putting it in my Comet. It did not work, even after resetting the power manager switch a number of times and leaving it overnight plugged into the AC adapter. I got MacResQ to send another battery, but this time, it was in a sealed box. Again, another good evening shot to hell putting it in. Again, same result. I can't believe I got two bad batteries, particularly since one was apparently factory sealed. What, if anything am I doing wrong? You all know the Comet better than anyone, so I value any input you can provide. dave ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net! A listserv for users and fans of Mac subportables.
