Some batteries are hard to get out due to the tight battery slide. 
Take a small flathead screwdriver and nudge the slide to the left 
(Duo facing you) while depressing the slide button.

THe battery may be beyone dead and descended into "malicious".  I 
have a Type 3 batt that will shutdown a Duo while in the dock.
