How long can we hold out with our 2400s and Duos?

Like many of you, I've been waiting for a true sub replacement. For me, the
Ti doesn't come close. Its extra pound (over the 2400) really makes a
difference when you've already got papers, books and other sundry items in
your case/bag. And the 2400/Duos really are laptops in the sense that you
can actually use them on ONE lap. I don't think you could get away with
that with the wide Ti. Most importantly, I couldn't imagine bringing a Ti
to half the places I go with my 2400 (e.g., barber, malls). The Ti would
limit rather than liberate my mobility.

I have to admit I drooled over the VAIO Z505's dimensions just before MWT.
12.1" TFT at 3.75 lbs. is near the perfect form factor, but then there's its
miserable display, battery, and keyboard plus Windoze.

I guess we're in for at least another 6 month wait for any possible sub
action. I think this is the sixth such 6 month wait I've endured. Should
we just give up? Resign ourselves to the last of the Apple subs and/or make
the switch?
