Hey all! I just picked up a Duo2300 with a broken screen and some funky startup problems. I can fix the screen (I have a 280c screen to install) but I need some ideas on the other problem. When I put it in a DuoDock it will boot. When I restart, I get the death tones. However nothing displays on screen with ID numbers. I have to reach around back and hit the power button to get it to shut down. I then eject, let it sit for a minute and push it back in. It always boots up again. I've reset the power manager several times. One odd note, when I push it in it automatically boots. Specs: OS7.5.2, 8MB RAM (I pulled a 32MB module out), 1.1GIG drive. Dead battery and I believe the PRAM battery is dead although it gave me a steady green light at first without power but it no longer does this. This was when connected to an AC adapter. Any thoughts? Do I have a bum motherboard? TIA! -makmac ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net! A listserv for users and fans of Mac subportables.
