If you just dropped in the 2300 logic board into the 280 without 
reinstalling the OS, everything will run very slow. The 280 system 
folder only has m68k code, and the PPC in the 2300 has to run it in 
emulation. And because the 2300 has no L2 cache, it it extreemly slow 
at m68k emmulation. I had the same problem with my Duo when I did the 
2300 upgrade.

Do a clean install of 8.1, and everything will be much faster. Heck I 
went from a m68k only 7.6.1 to 8.6 and 8.6 was much faster, even tho' 
8.6 is huge and bloated for a 2300c.
