>Not sure if it is related, but IE 5.0 crashed crashed crashed crashed on my >PB 2400. All of a sudden the screen would go totally grey, like it was >starting up or had lost the video. Removing it and going back to Netscape >4.6 solved that problem (now I just havethe regular Netscape problems). I must be very lucky in the sense that my 2400c/Interware G3 is the best computer I've ever owned: never a crash or the infamous GLOD, it's running 8.6 rock solid. Every peripheral I plug in just works, be it FireWire, USB, ADB or SCSI. As far as my other macs are concerned, I'm not a fan of IE 5.0 (crashy as crashy can be, but very fast rendering pages), I use IE 4.5 if I must, and Netscape has usually been my browser of choice, mainly because I can use on the UNIX machines as well and I'm more used to it. But my latest discovery has been iCab. The first versions were so-and-so, but the present pre2.4 version is as fast as IE 5.0 if not faster rendering pages, and *very* stable. It doesn't fill your system folder with junk, and it uses half of the memory Netscape does --even less if you are willing to trade off memory usage for speed--. And lots more of good features. I'm considering switching to it on a permanent basis. Highly recommended. -- Jose Antonio Alvarez Dios e-mail addresses: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] e-fax number (in the USA, also handles voicemail) 1 (419) 828-9794 fax number (in Spain) 34981597054 ------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
