If the Duo tries to charge the battery before giving the X, your battery is
probably dead.  But if it seems stuck on the X then you may have to try
resetting the Power Manager to see if this would clear it up.  To reset the
manager, remove the battery and AC adapter and then hold in the reset button
on the back of the Duo for about 30 seconds
