Why don't you make an applescript and put it in your startup folder. It's
very easy. You first put the icons where you DON'T WANT THEM on the
desktop. Then, open the script editor and set it to record and move the
icons to where you want them. Then you save the script "Save as
Run-only," as an "Application" and click "Never show startup screen." Put
this in the startup items folder and every time you reboot it'll put
whatever icons you have arranged back in place.
