I have the same config except I'm running 8.6, Adapter Card Support 1.3.5. I
recently had a 9.1 install, but have since cleared it.

That's wild. I never tried that. Looks like I'll have to give 9.1 another
try.

If there is ANY text under the icon , which there should be if even only a
space, just copy and paste it into my eject script, in place of "USB".

That's really cool. I hadn't noticed that. The opening of AppleTalk always
irked me as I never use it.
