I had written this group about my frustration with my Global Village 56K/10BT
ethernet combo card not 'seeing' my new Linksys DSL router/switch.

I had communicated with both GV and Linksys, but after about a week's
back-and-forth, was unable to figure out how get a successful reliable
connection.

I then bought a 'generic' 10/100 card without Mac driver software, and was
unable to find a workable driver online.

I finally followed through with my 'threat' to buy the cheapest 10/100 card I
could find that claimed Mac compatibility.

I am here to report that the Hawking Technologies "Fast Ethernet" 10/100 card
came through with flying colors! ($69.99 @ insight.com)
Plug and play, just like we Macsters expect!!!

Funny thing, the Hawking packaging and card looks almost identical to the
Gericom 'generic' card that wouldn't work. :-/
