All the versions of PPP I know of that you can run on that Duo (or 
any non-PPC Mac) will need to be told about DNS servers, through the 
TCP/IP control panel - that includes OT-PPP 1.0, Remote Access 3.0 
(same thing with Appletalk), and FreePPP. The reasons why are a long 
story, but it has to do with poor organisation behind the PPP 
standard and some "embrace and extend" on Microsoft's part (the 
manner in which newer PPP software gets IP DNS settings is quite 
broken and wrong, but it's become a de facto standard even though it 
will never be part of the real one).
