Hi, Folks-

Thanks, Andy. I never knew about selecting text, then replying. I just
tried it, and it worked. How cool! I guess you learn something new all the
time, huh?

And for all the other explanations, again, many thanks. They were really
helpful. Now, about that tight underwear-

I have to admit, this list has me a little gun-shy at the moment; I'm really
worried about offending people here. I haven't been on the list too long,
but recently, I've noticed a bit of angst... what with political barbs going
back and forth, etc. Not long ago, I took some offense to a jab someone
took at me, then found it was made in jest (and to that person... it's all
ok. I apologize for being thin-skinned!).

But what really got to me was when I made a recent remark that I could
fairly easily crash one of the three Macs I use each day. (Please folks, no
more nasty replies about that... I've heard plenty!).

Well... I got the most arrogant, condescending e-mail from a member of this
list in response-- it wasn't posted. He told me very plainly that (I
paraphrase here...) I am inept, don't know what I'm doing, and that I lack
the expertise to participate in this list! -I'm not kidding.

"The friendliest place on the 'Net"... hmmmmm. I wonder if maybe we should
all just chill out and consider what we say; perhaps work at being a bit
more friendly. Despite the tight underwear today, I still get the
impression that this list is for everyone, regardless of skill level.

-Dave
