I have recently moved an my beloved 2400c/180 was powered down for sometime. Finally, after unpacking to the extent where I can bathe and feed myself, I turned to powerup my 2400 - and found that it refuses to. I hear a brief clicking like noise when I depress the power key on either the main keyboard or an external keyboard. Also, the LEDs will briefly illuminate on the external keyboard, but the hard drive does not spin up, nor does the LCD light up - at all. I have to hit the reset button at the back for the above behavior to be repeated. The above behavior is also exhibited if I depress the reset button twice in a row. I tried resetting the power manager by disconnecting the battery & ac adapter and holding the reset button for 10 seconds to no avail. Does anyone have any ideas?
