Hi fellow Duophiles,

Sadly, I'm thinking about parting with my trusty Duo 2300c. (I've
found that my computing needs on the road are so minimal-barebones
word processing and basic PIM stuff-that I can handle it with my Palm
and a folding keyboard.) Before I hit eBay, I wondered if you could
give me a realistic idea of what to expect for the Duo. It works
nicely, has a brand new PRAM battery, the 1.2-gig hard drive, and is
in excellent cosmetic condition. It's got OS 8.1 installed and I
would leave 20 megs of RAM in it. However, there is a problem with
the display. There is one stuck red pixel, one stuck green pixel, and
more importantly, a one-inch wide vertical strip where the
backlighting appears to be fading. Given the screen problem, what
price could I expect? Would I be better off disassembling the Duo and
parting it out? Since I'm not exactly a technical whiz, I think I'd
prefer selling it as a whole, but I thought I'd ask.

If I do decide to sell, I'll also have a lot of accessories to find
homes for as well. These include an Apple MiniDock in great
condition; a 28-meg RAM module; an external floppy drive; an Apple 2x
external CD drive with SCSI cable and power cord; a new Asante Micro
EN/SC Ethernet adapter that I could never get to work with my 2300; a
black Wetsuit; and a 33.6K Zoom external modem.

If anyone is interested in either the Duo or any of these items,
please contact me offlist.

Thanks for everything,

Nancy
