Hi, as far as I know, unless you use USB or a USB -> Serial adapter with
your cell phone, and the phone supports it, it is impossible to connect a
phone. I had hoped to use a Nokia 7160 with the new iBook, but will instead
probably be purchasing a 2400c soon. I currently do not have a 7160, I have
a Startac 7797, and plan to replace it as it has absolutely no capability of
data communication. I do however know that at best, a cell phone can only
connect a 14400 baud. It is absolutely impossible using TDMA, CDMA, or GSM
to achieve anything higher as of right now. If 14400 baud is unacceptable,
then don't even waste your time.
