GSM 2.5 a.k.a. GPRS is slated for rollout among USA and International GSM providers soon, and is already available in parts of Canada. It boasts on always-on connection and transfer rates of 28,800. Your best shot is to get a GSM, Infrared-phone. These will work great with any Apple PowerBook Wall Street or newer.
