Hey all. Longtime lurker. Have a 2400c/180 I just love (except when it's
having issues, like now - won't recognize the battery. But I think I
know what to do from posts on this list. Thanks to all.)

Here's my question. The new ibook when closed leaves a bit of space
between the display/bezel and the body of the computer, thanks to what
appear to be small rubber feet on the bezel. How much clearance is there
really? Would it be possible to design a tight-fitting rubber sleeve
that would nicely cover up all that shiny white plastic -- maybe a
two-piece, for the display and body. Looks like slipping such a sleeve
round the corners of the bezel would be easy, if the sleeve material
against the bezel (and on the corresponding part of the body sleeve) was
thin and strong.

Might make that gap make a little more sense, and the cute but
impersonal white design, if kids could pick up colorful rubber sleeves
for their iBooks, at maybe $30 a pop. Maybe at the local Apple Store...
for the back-to-school season. Very Gap, actually.
