+ +;-) It's lead acid battery could remain in working
+ +condition for many years
+ +while I've had a Duo battery stop holding charge after a year.
+ +
+ +Another gripe is if the battery ever dies, replacement are
+ +hard to find and
+ +you can't use the Mac Portable without a working battery
+ +even if you're using
+ +the AC adapter.

On the other hand the battery is a lot easier to re-build than the Duo
battery and the cells are easy to obtain (lead acid 'Cyclone' 2.5AH?
5AH? (cannot remember offhand) and about the same price each as Duo
cells (but only 3 required)) and no fuses or id chips to worry about.
