I do believe the part number is:
CXK78V6002GB-40. The '40' designates it's 4.0 nSec. Static Ram. I also
believe this part was discontinued a few years back. I have to go through
our library at work to try and dig up the data sheet. If you're still
interested I can fax the data sheet providing I can find it. From the
picture, it looks as though the chip itself is on a carrier card. It's not
uncommon to be mounted as such considering there's probably over a hundred
pins there.
