I'm not sure there is a speed hit on those things. I use a Memory Stick
reader on an iMac and it is plenty fast, reads in 32 meg of pics in a few
seconds.
I wouldn't worry about it. You've got USB and Firewire and great video out.
You're really set up with an iBook. If I hadn't got this G4...
