If you are referring to the Duo/5xx modem software...it does recommend 
installation from the original disks, but...

If you get beyond the compression problem and get the folders to open, you 
just need to be sure that you have two folders and they are named properly.  
Any change will prevent it from installing.  I placed these on my iMac hard 
drive from the original disks and just installed the software on a 520c via 
ethernet, so I know it will work.

The first folder must be named: PP500Duo Installer Disk 1
The second folder must be named: PP500Duo Installer Disk 2

For PPC upgraded units you also need the one named: PP500Duo 2.5.5 Update

Be sure that the files are not within yet another folder of the same name.

If someone will help walk me through it, I'll be glad to post these on my web 
space for download.  The last time I tried it, when I downloaded it for a 
test, it became a Internet Explorer file and not the same folder I had 
uploaded.
