Hello friends, a couple of head scratchers for you: First: I have one duo 280 that is becoming more and more difficult to power up. I tried holding the power button in the back for a couple of minutes, but it still refuses to start with battery, dock or AC supply. Yes, the date & time became wonky towards the end. Am I correct in assuming the internal battery is kaput? Second: I have a 2300 that had the internal modem stop cooperating with the CPU... it would take 10-20 dial attempts to log on to AOL (no snide remarks, please)or any other service, so being a resourceful yet fearful owner, I purchased a GV PowerPort Mercury modem on ebay (new in box!), and had it professionally installed. When I got the duo back, it booted once, let me install the drivers, and when I tried to restart, wouldn't power up. No green light, nothing. I took it back to the repair place, who looked at it again and decided the new modem was the problem. What do you all think I should do next?
