Subject: [Duo2400] Internal HD for Duo Dock Plus > Hello all, > Can anyone tell me the specs/options for hard drives > that I can mount inside a duo dock plus? I quess I > need to know size (full height, half height), capacity > (how large a drive MB/GB-wise) most any modern 3.5" 1/3 height scsi drive can be mounted. You also need the metal mounting bracket which "snaps" it in place in the dock and the power cable which comes from topside. I do believe the bracket is also the same one which fit in the LC II's. The power cable was used on a number of mac models. Max capacity is dependent on which OS you're running. (i.e. partition sizes are maxed out at about 2GB for earlier OS 7 and by OS 8 you could go larger than that. I know there were some problems in the past with certain manufactured drives which I can't recall off hand however, third party disk drivers like silver lining, etc. helped make the drives run. kind (will PC drives > work - what connector would I need), and I assume I > can only use scsi drives? 50 pin scsi only cabled with 50 pin ribbon cable. Hope that helps. > Your advice and help is always greatly appreciated! > Cheers! > DA PEN > > __________________________________________________ > Do You Yahoo!? > Get personalized email addresses from Yahoo!
