Whew Boy!! Now you stepped on a nerve! Way OT but it happens to be law in this state that ALL replaced automotive parts have to be saved and shown to the customer. Why? Because too many 'repair' shops got away with fraudulent services. The government stepped in and mandated rules and regulations(state DMV license). Electronic repair shops were heading in the same direction. Some computer repair shops are not too far from invoking the wrath of Big Brother too(thus the A+ cert). When I do a repair (automotive, electronic or computer) I have no qualms whatsoever in detailing what the repair was, how it was done and showing the parts. I am secure enough with my skills that the customer will return. I will also be able to retain all my licenses without any hassle from BB. AND believe it or not, the customer does care.
