That's what's so good about this list. I'm outvoted 5 to 1 on the Travelstars having a normal rattle, so I'll conceed to the greater wisdom that in all likely hood the drive is probably OK.

Still <stubbornly trying to maintain a shred of credibility> unless you install drives all day long, how can one distinguish a normal rattle from one that means your drive is DOA?
