Picked up a generic PCI, USB card at CompUSA (in the Mac department I think)
for $29 and put it in a clients Beige G3/DT. Works like a champ. This was
several months ago. They have a name brand available too although the name
escapes me at the moment. It was $39.
No shipping costs, easy to return if necessary. Worked just fine with the
Mac OS (hers runs OS8.6).
I also picked up one for my Beige G3 tower from junkyardjeff.com who sells
on the LEM-Swap list (at lowendmac.com). Paid $10 and it too works just
fine. This was a couple months ago and at the time he only had the one. I
figured $10 was worth the gamble plus he had tested it in an 8500.
