Anywayz...  you could try the Energy Saver replacement, Sleeper, at:

http://www.stclairsoft.com/Sleeper/index.html

I've not tried it out in this regard, but it looks as if it might help, at
least on the automagic shutdown.  Perhaps in combo with that extension to
get rid of dialogs.

I just wish the darn Energy Saver would work as advertised, since I'd like
to reboot my machine at, say, 2 AM every day.  It's just not that urgent to
me that I've taken the time to solve this.
