I have similar problems with my Duo 280c. No quicktake software installed.
I have tried 7.5.5, 7.6.1, and 8.1. About the only time it does not crash is
when I have all extensions disabled. I tried Conflict Catcher, but it was
telling me that several different extensions were the cause and it would
change it's answer each time I tried to run it. I think it may be my RAM
chip. I would like to try a replacement. Anyone have a 36 MB that they
would let me borrow? I would send it right back in a year or two.
Let me know if you find any solutions,
Andrew
