This may be a misleading error. It sounds like the driver you're
trying to install might be too old to work with the 2400 and OS 8.1
(because it's designed to talk to C&SS 2, and your 2400 has C&SS 3).
See if there's a newer version of the driver for your device at
Dayna's site. If there isn't, see whether that adaptor is supported
at all in the 2400 and 3400 (and with OS 8.1).
