Hi Alex,
Jose's comments are on target. Actually 150F isn't all that bad. I
regularly hit 170F with my original 603e in a BookEndz docking
station. I also burned out a 603e. :-(
The Interware G3 is definitely cooler. My current high temp is
154F....running 99% of the time in the BookEndz. A PC modem, at
least my GV, also heated up significantly adding to the load.
I'd just be sure you don't run it with the lid closed, the 2400 vents
much of its heat through the keyboard.
Also, while I love my Wetsuit it does tend to insulate the beast so
keep that in mind if you see your temps start to rise.
I assume you have 80MB RAM, if not that should be your #1 priority.
It's the easiest upgrade to do.
If you decide to upgrade the HD, I'd bite the bullet at that time and
do the CardBus upgrade at the same time. Depending on who does the
work, you should have them check for a good contact between the
processor and the 'heat sink'. You don't really want to open up the
2400 more than necessary, so when you do...upgrade/fix everything. :-)
