I find it amazingly astounding that anyone would go to the bother to do a
webpage on a $7.00 transaction that's gone bad. While I took the time to
look at it, annd I understand that your product WAS in fact damaged, I need
to call for some balance in this worldwide yardsale we call eBay.

Yes, there are crooks in business. And yes we are all (as a business
community, whether in a neighborhood or a nation) responsible to help
maintain justice and truth.

Please bear in mind that sometimes things happen outside of the realm of
possibility. Things DO get lost in the mail. Shipping DOES take time and
cost more than just the $3.95 for a priority box. I hear constanty from folks
who compllain about the most insignificant things.. Remember that shippers &
sellers ARE people too, with families and schedules and commitments. Just
because you took the 17 seconds to bid and win a bid on eBay does not entitle
you to own the seller's soul.

The problem is (often) that SO MANY complain about such insignificant things,
that a seller becomes inundated with verbage from buyers, to the point of
numbing.

I write this to call for some balance. Perhaps it is worthwhile to put up a
page about repeat offenders. I don't know.. I've had some unhappy clients on
eBay as well, in my 3 years of selling on eBay..I try not to--I try to live
my life and run my business in an ethical & truthful way. But please don't
rake me over the coals for a single transaction of a $2.00 item that is
missing or got broken; I'd rather refund it and give you $5 to go buy
yourself an ice cream cone.

We DO have responsibility for justice. But we DO ALSO have a responsibility
to balance truth with justice. That is the very reason our courts are full
of lawyers and crooks, with lawsuits in astronomical figures; because so many
have no understanding of that balance.

Hope this doesn't inflame the world...

Thanks,
David Wegener
