Yes, they are rechargeable NiMH button cell batteries, I forgot to
track down the sanyo type number listed on them.
Unfortunately I have my Duo2300c -not- apart at this time *g* so
somebody else could do this easier.
I also think, you could just solder two 3V NiMHs together (with a
wire to the middle), but for me it was always much less work to find
any working PRAM battery in some of my sparepart duos.
They last very long (as they were recharged, you can try, when you
leave out the main battery and plug in the power adaptor� it was
somewhere stated either in the apple til or in the service manual)
and if it don't recharges (you could also probe it with a voltmeter -
if they do not have ~6V current when they should be charged, they
assume to be dead) then you have to replace it.
