If you want to try experimenting with using a high-quality active
terminator and some high-quality SCSI cables, I have some
manufactured by Granite Digital (http://www.scsipro.com) that are
absolutely first rate. These cables and terminator solved all my
SCSI problems on a long and complicated SCSI chain I had a few
computers ago. I don't need them anymore since I've gone "SCSI
free", so let me know if you're interested in buying the terminator
and one or more of the cables. I can rummage through my cable drawer
to see which cables I have.

The nifty thing about the terminator is that it's also a "hot swap"
terminator, which allows you to add or remove item(s) from your SCSI
chain by flipping a switch on the terminator, without powering down
your Mac. Very cool.

You can read about the terminator and see a photo here:

It's the 50-pin Centronics SCSI Vue Hot-Swap Terminator. I also have
some SCSI adapters so it can be hooked to a SCSI device with another
type of connector.
