Does anyone know of any �issues� regarding the NewerTech G3/240 (or any other, for that matter) CPU upgrade and the Mac OS 9.1? I just installed OS 9.1 (it was OS 8.6) and used the Conflict Catcher �Clean Install System Merge� feature. Everything seemed to go smoothly and when it was done, it told me to restart the PB. I am stuck on the opening �Mac OS 9.1� screen, with the �starting up. .� loading bar about a quarter of an inch out from the stops on the left . . . .just before the little window for the NewerTech G3 upgrade card usually shows up underneath the Mac OS startup window. It won�t even get to the place where I can use Conflict Catcher to see where the conflict might be. All I can think to do at this point is to let the battery wear down. . .hook the PB up to my desktop machine in SCSI mode and see if I can intuitively figure out what is stalling the start. It must be one of the early loading Extensions or Control Panels. . but. . since it is jammed up right where the NewerTech usually loads. . I thought I would ask if anyone knows about any �issues� Can anyone think of anything else that might be conflicting.
