Another unhappy angle......... I have been reading bits and pieces of Ilene's unlucky ventures of her powerbook 2400. I hit the ebay history books and have learned that I had purchased the very same powerbook, the saturday before she won the bid, herself. I used the "buy it now" feature and paid the seller using paypal. I later had a voice conversation with him, and got the impression that he was hiding something. He shipped the powerbook on monday morning as I emailed him stating that I planned to do a charge back on his payment if the notebook was not as described, but if there was nothing wrong, there was nothing to worry about. He recalled the package back to him, and it took me close to a month to retrieve my $399. He told me he straightened the matter with the online buying service, but paypal told me he had not.
