This whole affair points out to me the wisdom of my decision NOT to
buy a 2400. I am a really proficient technical person (for a self-taught
amateur). I buy non working machines on ebay, and turn them into
functional ones to sell. However, I would buy a V-12 Jag to maintain
myself before I would buy a 2400.
I've been on this list for about two years, and I would say that
this machine is a high performance and high maintenance item, requiring
either more money or more expert time than I have. For someone who hasn't
paid their dues and torn machines apart and reassembled them, buying a 2400
seems just silly to me.
