Hi list reader,

I would like to know if you have upgraded RAM in a later Duo.
I have a Duo 2300 with (standard) 20Mb RAM, and would like
to hear from someone who:

a) has upgraded to a higher level of RAM and recommends it,
despite the expense & hassle

b) can offer a large module for sale or some kind of swap.
Maybe you upgraded to a total or 44 or 48Mb, and
then up the to max of 56Mb.
If you have a 36+Mb card, let me know if you can help.

c) has any comment/advice generally on RAM & HD upgrades to
Duo 2300s.
I will upgrade to an iBook 3Gb HD soon, and hope it will bring a
small speed boost for general use (in HD speed, VM etc)
 - have you done this? Any issues? Happy w. it or not worthwhile?

d) Any must-have accessories you recommend?
- Is the ethernet minidock of any kind worthwhile?
- Any interesting upgrades? Can you hack the modem slot to install

an audio minijack? Would be better than a modem or ADB port for me!
 * Props to Peter Liethen for his ADB & minidock hacks. Nice work.
** Done any other hacks you care to relate to list readers? ;-)

Thank you for supporting vintage Macs!
