DuoList readers, I have followed the useful, helpful, fully illustrated guide to opening (& not breaking) a Duo 2300, and have installed an iBook 3G HD in place of the 1.1G HD. I also installed my largest RAM card (20MB!), so now have a 28Mb/3.2G Duo 2300. Should I run MacOS 8.1 & Speed Doubler, or MacOS 8.6 (w. or w.o. Speed Doubler &/or Ram Doubler) ? FYI, each OS when stripped to basics is around 7Mb of RAM. Based on this relative paucity of RAM, should I stick with the proven but non-native MacOS 8.1/SD8 or go native w. MacOS 8.6 (& use SD8 & Ram Doubler) ? If you have experience in both, let me know!
