Hi guys,
I'm trying to install OS 8 on my Duo 280c (from 7.6), but not having much
luck. I've hooked up an external cd to the duo through the dock. I've been
able to access the cd and begin the instalation, but I select the options I
want and press ok, then the box opens saying it is installing but then
quickly reverts to the preparing for instalation box and takes me right back
to the menu to select options for installing. I ended up canceling the
instalation and now it boots up to a box saying type 41 error and forces me
to restart it.
How do I fix this and get 8 on the book? Also are there any button
combinations to force the computer to boot from the docks HD instead of the
one in the powerbook? And what is the diference between the master set and
the powerbook not docked set that I see when it boots up? I know that's
vague but I don't have a clue what it is.
Thanks in advance. -Ben
