Asante and others make Ethernet to Local Talk bridges that work very well. Was intended to connect Local Talk only printers to Ethernet networks, but will work with any Local Talk device. Some allow only 2 or 4 devices others will handle up to 8. Also was a Apple software extension (LaserWriter Bridge?) which did the same thing, but was not as reliable and had conflicts with certain extensions and OS versions.
