My two 280c's were recently upgraded to 2300c's. Now, I notice that there is delay after extensions and control panels load but, before the menu bar and desktop icons appear (the desktop pattern is there, as is a blank, white menu bar). The delay is a matter of 15 to 20 seconds on one 2300c and slightly less on the other. What contributes to this delay? What is going on "behind the scenes?" Also, what is the key combination to be used when opening the memory control panel so that the power on ram test can be "turned off?"
